Tough Questions for GTA Admin Participants @mcleod
On Friday, I’ll be spending the day with highly motivated folks who are participating in the Google Teacher Academy for Administrators in San Antonio, Texas, USA. While I could ask tough questions about implementing GoogleApps for Education in their K-12 environment, it occurs to me that leadership and change are key areas to focus on (and, they may not be implementing GoogleApps).
What questions would you ask of this highly committed group of administrators? My goal is to interview GTA for Admin participants, ask them these questions, and post the responses as a podcast. Of course, if anyone wants to get a head-start, record your own audio/video and post the link here in the comments!
Here are some that I’m pondering:
- Given inappropriate use of Facebook, mobile technologies, video by a teacher, how would you as an administrator respond to the demand for banning of social networking technologies in K-12 education? (Inspiration by Dr. Scott McLeod)
- What steps would you take to bring stakeholders together to craft a strategy to deal with cyberbullying and foster digital citizenship?
- How do you reconcile the need for adaptive learners/creators and higher-level cognitive work with the way most classrooms are run focused on lock-step curriculum and drill-n-practice technology use? (Inspired by…)
- How are you fostering transformative, technology-based experiences for staff you are responsible for? Share 3 experiences. (Inspired by)
- What are your top 5 online collaboration tools that you use every day to connect with YOUR COMMUNITY of learners?
What other questions would you ask of the GTA for Administrators participants?
