Follow Me - Quick Subscribe to #Moodle Blogs and Twitterers
When I was a boy, my Dad shared with me the ethic of “Follow Me.” He had been a paratrooper instructor at Ft. Benning, Georgia, and made his 99 jumps. Twitter and others who encourage one to “follow me” are tapping into a long tradition of service by the military, who bore the patch shown left on their shoulder. It’s an ideal to strive for, and if possible, live by.
Yesterday, I was showing online learning teachers three of the powerful tools they could use to get started with building a professional learning network:
- Google Reader
- Diigo.com
- Twitter.com
It bothered me that I hadn’t planned ahead to have set up some easy ways for them to “subscribe” to multiple Google Reader feeds at once, as I described in this Collating Multiple RSS feeds blog entry on Creating Google Reader Bundles. Today, I intend to remedy that.
Here are two quick ways to get folks started with following knowledgeable folks about Moodle:
- Login in to your Twitter account on the Web as well as Google Reader before clicking the links below.
- Subscribe to Moodle related blogs using this link: Subscribe
- Follow Moodle Twits. lso, if you are signed in to Twitter, you can quickly sign up to follow for 100+ Moodle Mayhem members! Follow Moodle Mayhem members’ twitters by clicking the link below:
FOLLOW Moodlers on Twitter
When you click on the link above, it will start the process.
Feel free to share and make suggestions about other blogs/twitterers that need to be followed.
The question is, how to do this with Plurk?
For fun, here’s the link to subscribe to all the edtech blogs I subscribe to (not including the Moodle ones which you can get above)
