iPad App Licensing Questions

EdTech

Problem:

“We purchase ONE license for an app and the Apple people have made it clear that we are good to install on any/all iPads here at school. Normally it’s a limit of 5.”

Responses:
I thought this was great but I am in a training with Apple about iPads and they just said that is not true. They said they have an Education Volume Purchasing Program that schools must use and that they are working with DIR on it. I really don’t like this and prefer the other comment above. We had planned to purchase a lab of 20 iPads, set up one computer to sync with to save money on the apps.

If you know whom from Apple said that you can use one license on many ipads I would love to get their name, email, and phone number.

The App Store Volume Purchase Program makes it easy for schools to purchase tax-exempt applications for iPad and iPod touch in volume, and distribute those apps to users.
